Work based training
Work Based Training (WBT) assists Carrick students in achieving the skills needed to be job ready. WBT is a structured, assessable programme, which makes up an invaluable part of a student’s qualification and their professional and personal development. WBT enhances students’ employability skills and maximizes their job opportunities.
During a placement students gain industry relevant skills, learn about employee expectations and begin to develop a professional network, which can help them to get that all important ‘foot in the door’. Carrick strives to give all students a competitive edge, so CJC and the WBT team continually work with industry leaders to maintain the high standards of WBT opportunities. Carrick has formal agreements across a diverse range of organizations to optimize placement variety and ensure that students meet industry requirements.
