The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an internationally recognised examination that helps students gain entry into tertiary courses and progress in their careers. Carrick English Language's IELTS Preparation course focuses directly on the skills students need to be successful in the IELTS examination.

20 contact hours and 5 hours of optional elective study per week, over 12 weeks

Course Structure

To gain the best possible result in the IELTS examination, students develop the four key skill areas in English: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Carrick's experienced teachers will also help students build confidence in dealing with the examination.

The IELTS Preparation course is designed for students aiming for an IELTS score of 5.5 and above. An IELTS level of 5.0 or equivalent is required for entry.

Assessment

Students sit a daily assessment, which includes IELTS practice test which assess all four skills areas. Carrick students receive regular feedback on their progress from highly qualified and experienced teachers.

Materials

Materials are specifically chosen to develop the students' language skills and prepare them for the IELTS examination.
