SIT50307 Diploma of Hospitality (Kitchen & Food Operations)

This course is designed to support your love of food and hospitality. You will gain commercial cooking skills knowledge and experience coupled with a strong management component equipping you to take on any food service management role or manage your own food service outlet.  The distinct advantage of this Diploma of Hospitality (Kitchen & Food Service Operations) is to provide you with an understanding and appreciation of the entire business operation, from food production in the kitchen through to customer service on the restaurant floor.

Entry Requirements

For direct entry applicants must have prior knowledge or experience in the hospitality industry equivalent to a Certificate III in Hospitality or  have successfully completed an Australian Year 11 or an equivalent qualification.

Applicants who do not satisfy direct entry requirements will be assessed individually to assess skills and aptitude to study.

Mode of Study

This course is delivered in a classroom and if applicable in practical based environment with practical requirements simulated to reflect the real work situation. The delivery of training will include a mixture of classroom theory, practical delivery, group discussions, and individual research.
