Certificate II in Hairdressing

This qualification designed for people wanting to provide general assistance in a hairdressing salon. The course enables students to work under supervision and provide assistance to hairdressers. Students learn business skills such as customer service, safe work practices and communications skills. Students develop hairdressing industry knowledge, learn to shampoo hair, apply and remove semi permanent colours and dry hair.

Certificate III in Hairdressing
40 Weeks
This course provides students with the skills necessary to work in the hairdressing industry, without the need to undertake a three-year apprenticeship. Graduates of this course have developed the skills and knowledge to sell products and services and are qualified to perform a full range of client services, including client consultation and advice, hair and scalp treatments, perform permanent wave and chemical straightening services, and style hair.

20 Weeks
This qualification is open to those who can demonstrate competence in relevant units within the Certificate III in hairdressing qualification and is designed to expand and develop their technical skills and knowledge. Graduates of this course are qualified to solve complex colour problems, design and perform creative haircuts and long hair designs, and coordinate work teams.

Diploma of Hairdressing (Salon Management)
30 Weeks
The diploma course is designed for salon owners or managers to develop skills and knowledge for the operation of a hairdressing salon. The course will provide students with the skills and knowledge to manage a salon, employ staff and coordinate salon teams, and ensure occupational health and safety requirements are maintained. The management skills gained enable graduates to build a business, lead and develop teams and implement marketing activities for a hairdressing salon.
