This course provides students with the specialised skills and knowledge required to work as a Dental Technician. The course deals with the construction of dentures, bridges, crowns and other dental appliances. It also covers the repair and modification of these appliances. Other technical skills attained include working with dental impressions, moulds, casts and models.
Carrick gives students ample opportunity to practice in a working laboratory, research industry practice in the computer resource centre and take the extra time needed to reinforce learning.

This course is delivered in a classroom and in a practical based environment with practical requirements simulated to reflect the real work situation. The delivery of training will include a mixture of classroom theory, practical delivery, group discussions, and individual research.
This qualification will provide you with the skills to apply for the position of Dental Technician.
This course also provides an excellent gateway into studying for a qualification as a Dental Prosthetics.
As a dental technician you will work in close liaison with referring dental practitioners and specialists.
