"Hi everybody, my name is Aida from Lima, Peru and I am studying Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management (Commercial Cookery) at Carrick Institute of Education, Sydney.

I have just finished my first stage and I have learnt so many things, not only theory, but also practical. I am very pleased at how well programmed the classes and contents are. I have met many friends from different countries and it has been great to share and learn from different cultures. I've also had great teachers. They have been very demanding but helpful, so we have learnt to do more than our best since the very beginning.

I also have got a job related to my course! As soon as my classes started I talked to Sara, the Job Placement Officer. She is very kind and helpful. She helped me with my resume and clarified all the doubts I had about working in Australia. She immediately started sending me e-mails about possible jobs for me and I had my first interview thanks to her. I got the job! Now I am working at Relish Sydney where I am very happy. I prepare foods such as salads and pasta. I also assist customers and the chef too. It's a great experience for me."
