"I moved to Australia in October 1999 and commenced my studies at Carrick Institute of Education in the Advanced Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism. Although I had completed a similar program in India, Carrick’s professional approach to education meant I furthered my skills for use in Australia. I must admit, I do not really enjoy studying, but the Carrick teachers and support staff really made me feel at home, helping me with issues ranging from visa problems to generally settling in. One of the best features of Carrick was its emphasis on personal standards – ensuring students attended class and making sure they looked good. This really set it apart from other providers.

Since leaving Carrick, I now own three Indian restaurants, one Vietnamese restaurant and a grocery store.
