Carrick wins state finals in the Wella Trend Vision 2010 hairdressing competition!


Carrick Hairdressing trainer, Kylie Taylor-Williams, and her assistant Carrick Hairdressing student, Marie-Lyne Morant, won the Wella Trend Vision 2010 Adelaide state fiinals in the Hair Colouring category in July this year.

“The students just went crazy! Our normal happy smiles around our Carrick salon were and still are extra bright. We could not believe it!” said Kylie reflecting on her team’s success.

Kylie has already known success in the competition this being the second year in a row that she has been a South Australian state finalist.

“This time its extra special”, she said “getting this far has been so rewarding because of the great support from Carrick, my students and the wonderful team here in Adelaide”

Kylie has been Hairdressing for 16 years, including 8 years internationally with Toni & Guy in the UK, as head Colour Technician and now is passing on her knowledge and experience to Carrick hairdressing students.

Kylie and Marie-Lyne are very excited to be representing Carrick in the upcoming Wella Trend Vision 2010 National Finals September 6th, at Sydney’s Byron Kennedy Hall.

Catherine Carrick the Managing Director of Carrick Institute of Education is also overjoyed “This is fabulous for Carrick, and just goes to show, if you believe in something, work and study hard your dreams can come true”. “I would like to thank Kylie and Marie-Lyne and would encourage those who seek the best possible start to their Hairdressing career to consider Carrick, and wish Kylie and Marie-Lynn all the best in the finals”, said Catherine.

The team are also competing in the Wella Trend Vision 2010 People’s Choice Awards so be sure to Vote for them.
