Flexible Timetables at Carrick

We have listened to feedback on timetabling issues and have introduced more flexible timetabling.

At Carrick, we endeavour to continually enhance the student experience and understand many of our students have work commitments that coincide with study.

Currently, up to 50 per cent of students who request changes to their timetable receive their preference. This is a significant number of students who have received their choice of timetable and is due to the care Carrick places in ensuring our students receive a balanced study and social experience. Students are encouraged to choose classes with their friends at a time that suits their working commitments and lifestyle.

Carrick has 19 campuses throughout Australia; more campuses mean more classes and greater timetable flexibility.

Further;

  • Carrick’s timetable allows for classes to be conducted in three shifts (morning, afternoon and evening), over six days per week
  • Students are able to access their schedule timetable online through “My Carrick” before the commencement of each intake
  • Carrick has a policy which allows students to change their allocated timetable if their scheduled classes are not suitable with a 72 hour turn around

Moving forward we are looking to make timetables even more flexible by introducing new timetabling software. This software is the latest technology available and enables students to choose their preferences online, across all Carrick divisions (Carrick English Language, Carrick Institute of Education, Carrick Higher Education), in all states.
