Carrick Adelaide is groovy baby
Campus Director Jane Mitchell and her team at Carrick Adelaide got into the groove last week at a Woodstock ReVisited.
Woodstock ReVisted is a charity event hosted by Jane and her husband, Alan Grieg annually in their home garden to raise money for charity.
This year’s charity was The Royal Society for the Blind Guide Dogs and the event raised over $12,000 for the cause.
Over 500 people attended the daytime event which as the name suggests is a take on the famous original Woodstock music festival in held in 1969.
In true Woodstock style, tie dye, flares, floral shirts and rose tinted glasses could be seen across the garden as everyone danced to local Adelaide bands “Surviving the Fall” and “The Boomers” whose act included a Joe Cocker floor show.
“We have been running Woodstock ReVisited for four years, the day is such a brilliant opportunity for us to support local bands and have a good time with friends all for a good cause” Jane said.
The Carrick Adelaide team were out in force at the event to support the charity and for some, reminisce about the heady days of the original Woodstock era.
Carrick supports the community in numerous charity events nationwide through its corporate social responsibility arm, Carrick Community Care.
