National Academic Director of Carrick Higher Education, Dr John Van Beveren has recently graduated from the Juris Doctor program at RMIT University with Distinction.

Dr John Van Beveren undertook the course as part of his professional development, studying full time through evening classes .

Dr Van Beveren has been with Carrick since July 2007, holding multiple positions, primarily overseeing the growth and influencing the direction of Carrick Higher Education. Carrick Higher Education now has two degree programs, the Bachelor of Accounting and Bachelor of Business (Hospitality and Tourism Management) and the division has grown from just four students in 2007 to over 200 current students.

The course has significantly improved Dr Van Beveren’s knowledge of the regulatory environment in which Carrick operates and also helped him to further understand the legal obligations of his role as National Academic Director.

“I really enjoyed the course and found it most rewarding. My understanding of the regulatory framework that underpins Carrick’s governance systems and processes has been improved.” Dr Van Beveren said.

Dr Van Beveren also holds a PHD in Marketing and a Masters in Business Administration.
