Chance of student success doubles

Businesses across Australia are lining up to be part of an international education success story.

201 businesses have signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOU’s) or practical placement agreements to teach and mentor Carrick students, this is a 100% increase from only two months ago and the number is increasing.

The number one priority for the Carrick Jobs and Careers division is “to get student jobs” and the chance of securing industry experience has never been easier.

Carrick’s reputation for quality education has helped develop partnerships across hairdressing, community welfare and hospitality sectors so far, and moving forward Carrick Jobs and Careers are working to secure partnerships in the business, tourism and events sectors.

Carrick wants to ensure all students have the chance to gain practical, real life experience.

Mahlu Ninonuevo is just one example of the importance of industry experience. Mahlu is a graduate student of Carrick who is currently working as a Demi Chef at highly regarded New South Wales RSL club, Castle Hill RSL.

Carrick Jobs and Careers originally placed Mahlu in Epping RSL Club in 2008 and as a result of her kitchen experience; she has secured a promotion and permanent position at Castle Hill RSL.

The Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) also states that “successful transitions from school to the world of work and beyond are of critical importance for Australia’s youth and society in general” and Carrick is dedicated to providing career pathways for students.
