Higher Education Graduation November 2009

Carrick Higher Education held graduation ceremonies for Carrick Higher Education graduates in Melbourne and Sydney last week.

Twenty one graduates attended the ceremonies across Melbourne and Sydney and four students graduated in absentia, all students had completed a Bachelor of Business (Hospitality and Tourism Management) in October 2009, preparing them for careers in the hospitality and tourism industries.

Carrick Higher Education’s graduation ceremonies follow the same traditional ceremony as universities all over the world, a tradition dating back to1432 at Oxford University in England.

Students wore formal gowns and the formal ceremony signified the students’ rite of passage as talked about in the Chairman of the Academic Advisory Board, Steven Murby’s speech to the graduates.

The ceremonies were followed by drinks and nibbles with friends and family, some of whom had flown from Mauritius, China, Indonesia and Japan to attend the special event.

We would like to congratulate all of the Carrick Higher Education graduates on their excellent achievement and look forward to hearing about their future endeavours.
